Lattice and Arm outline FPGA-based AI server control
Lattice and Arm announced a server solution combining Arm AGI CPU, Lattice FPGAs and AMI firmware for AI infrastructure management and security.

In this architecture, the FPGA operates alongside the main CPU and baseboard management controller rather than replacing either. Programmable logic provides secure control, platform trust and connectivity functions. AMI firmware handles platform boot and management. The release describes AMI as part of Lattice; the announced collaboration is between Lattice and Arm.
Connectivity between the Host Processor Module and Datacenter Secure Control Module uses LTPI: LVDS Tunneling Protocol and Interface. Lattice positions this interface within the Open Compute Project architecture, providing a standardized link between separate compute and management modules. The announcement concerns cooperation among server-control components rather than higher AI inference throughput.
According to the 7 October release, the joint solution will be demonstrated at OCP Global Summit on 12–15 October at the San Jose Convention Center. Lattice booth A53 will show an Arm AGI CPU-based server platform; Arm booth C72 covers the wider ecosystem. The demonstration is scheduled, not a completed test.
No new FPGA die is introduced, and the announcement provides neither production shipment dates for the solution nor measured security results. Evaluation should clarify the division of functions across FPGA, BMC and firmware, supported LTPI profiles and update procedures. The collaboration announcement does not establish those platform-specific details.
