Microchip expands PIC families with Configurable Logic Block

PIC16F13276 and PIC18-Q35 combine an MCU with CPLD-like programmable logic for timing-critical embedded work.

On April 21, 2026, Microchip announced an expansion of its CLB-based microcontroller portfolio with the PIC16F13276 and PIC18-Q35 families.

The CLB provides dedicated hardware logic next to the MCU and targets predictable timing, lower latency, startup behavior, and BOM reduction in industrial, automotive, and motor-control designs.
